about Euston Grove Press |
a small wonder
Euston Grove Press is a small, independent publisher located in London, UK. We publish original books and pamphlets as well as quality facsimiles. We aim to produce high-quality original and facsimile materials supporting historical scholarship and encouraging further investigation. And we aim to do so with integrity. We publish in both North America and Europe. We sell our books worldwide. As occasions arise, we also offer rare and antiquarian books for sale. Euston Grove Press takes its name from a small street in London. Today, it is little more than a roundabout for buses outside Euston mainline rail station. Reginald Wynn Owen's arresting 1921 memorial to railway men and women lost in war dominates the view. For some historical research on the history of Euston Grove as one of London's streets, visit this link (Web) for a specially commissioned essay. Euston Grove Press started in 2007. The image we use in our logo is from a 19thC engraving by H. Bond after Thomas Hosmer Shepherd - "London and Birmingham Railway Terminus - Euston Square" - dated 1845-1860. The view is north-facing from the centre of Euston Grove through Euston Place and towards the Propylaeum and screen. MOst of our books are available directly through www.lulu.com Some of our books are available through these distributors:
